Modern method of construction of a Goat farm

A goat farm can be planned as intensive or semi intensive.but it is preferred to go for Intensive farm as it is convenient to maintain farm operation.Before construction of the farm,it is advised to have an outlook about the farm structure and the way you want it to be constructed.There are many methods to construct a farm based on your preference and choice.Below one is one of the modern farm structure which can be seen in Tamil Nadu area.Based on your preference you can do some modifications also.

The housing structure of the Goat farm is constructed in a platform which is 6 feet above the ground level.Goats prefer to stay above ground level. Slotted wooden platform helps to bring Urine and pellets down instantly which helps the farmers to keep the platform clean and dry.The 6 feet height from the ground level helps the workers to remove the pellets and urine easily which also helps in maintaining the farm hygiene.Such practices will help the farmers to keep Goats healthy and prevent diseases in the farm.Total height of the shed can be 10 to 12 feet above the ground level.The construction should be such a way that wind can easily pass through the shelter.Avoid direct sunlight entering inside the shelter.It is better to use roof as Tiles which will absorb heat and maintain cool atmosphere inside shelter.

There should be enough space for Goats to walk around the Housing shelter.An open area attached to the shelter is therefore necessary.It will give Goats enough exercise and keep them mentally fit.It will also helps to keep the housing shelter clean.The door of the housing shelter should be always open so that the Goats can always enter and leave from it.The open area can be covered by fencing.PVC pipes can be used for giving feed and water.Half cut PVC pipes can be fixed in a structure along the length of the shed for such uses.It will help in cleaning and feeding easily.There should be facilities to trap parasites and flies so that the diseases can be prevented.
