Emu farms in Kerala

 


  This is an initiative to collect information regarding major Emu farms in Kerala.Lots of people are doing emu farming,but details about them are limited.Here i am trying to collect all possible data.These farms plays major role in popularizing Emu farming as a successful business.See Scope of Emu farming for more details.


1)      

               This is the first known Emu farm in kerala.The farm is located at Erattekulam, Thodampallam in palakkad.It is run by Mr. Prakash C Menon. You can get more information by visiting the web page of mythreegarden

    This farm is located at pathanamthitta district. The address is V&V Hatchery & Emu Farm, Kavumbhagom, Thiruvalla, pathanamthitta, Kerala.Webpage is V&Vhatchery.



3) Angel Emu Gardens



  The farm is located at Ernakulam district.The address is Chettoor Peringuzha Muvattupuzha, Ernakulam. Webpage: angelemugardens.



4)Maria Emu farm

It is one of the leading Emu farm in kottayam district located in Muttuchira. The farm contains emu birds, pheasants, turkeys, guinea fowls, fancy chickens, quails, geese, ducks and rabbits.The web page is Mariaemufarm.


5)Eden garden Emu farm


          It is one of the major emu farm in Thrissur.


6)Emu farm in kozhikkod

              This guy is selling Emu birds from his farm.You can contact him through mail id: madeenashareef@gmail.com.

      Dear Thomas,
      Emu farming is not profitable nowadays.After various scams in Tamil Nadu regarding EMU farming,this field lost its glamour.
      Average rate for a pair of EMUs kids were 10000.But after the scam,it went down to 2000 and few farmers were ready to sell at Zero money(Since feeding cost is high).Pls have a study before venturing into this business.
